“Do not be too moral. You may cheat yourself out of much life so. Aim above morality. Be not simply good, be good for something.” -Henry David Thoreau
Welcome to the Inaugural Post of my participation in what will become a Weekly Post here, In Other Words prompted by Patricia at her blog. I learned about it from another great BLOG. Why not visit there too?
I hope she doesn’t mind me posting on Thursdays as opposed to her Tuesday posting. This should be fun.
I’ll let her explain the rules:
Write a story or poem of 5 Lines or Less
Use the picture and/or the word repair as inspiration
Link back to this post
If you are on WordPress this will create a pingback.
If you are not on WordPress put a link to your post in the comments.
You can also post your story or poem in the comments.
Here’s my entry for this week:
Daniel looked down in disgust as he started back down the ladder.
Its a very good thing no one was down there and that he was only a few rungs up when the bag slipped from his grasp.
All that was really hurt was his pride as the homeowner looked on at his slow decent from the roof top.
He’d been at this profession for too many years for such a rookie mistake.
Just now he was glad it was just the tools that took the tumble.
Now it’s your turn. Give it a try. -mike
