The Web Of Life

The is no difference or separation between us. We are all part of the same Life. -mike

“The Earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the Earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.”

Thoreauvian Thursday: True Apologetics

There are too many on the Net who think that by arguing against the positions of those who disagree with them, that will automatically demonstrate the truth of what they themselves are saying. I think this is dishonest. Either unknowingly or worse, knowingly so.

Let them see. Stop trying to argue against the alternatives. Start supporting what you are arguing For. Leave the chips fall where they may. It’s the more honest way.

Thoreauvian Thursday: On Government and Personal Responsibility

I heartily accept the motto, “That government is best which governs least”; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically. Carried out, it finally amounts to this, which also I believe — “That government is best which governs not at all”; and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have. Government is at best but an expedient; but most governments are usually, and all governments are sometimes, inexpedient.
